Biography:

Fr David Mahrous was born in 1978 in Kuwait. He moved to Sydney, NSW in 1989, and graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Pharmacy in 1998. Throughout his youth, Fr David always had a fervent love for the Lord, and served in St Mary\'s Cathedral as a Deacon, Sunday School Servant and Coordinator of youth activities among other things. It was through his service where he met his wife, Meriet, and they wed in 2002. In time, God revealed His will for Fr David\'s life, and on the 30th of May, 2004, he was ordained by the hands of HH Pope Shenounda III and called to serve St Mary and St Joseph\'s Coptic Orthodox Church, Brisbane. As written in Hebrews 5:4, \"And no man takes this honor to himself, but he who is called by God...\" We thank God that He has blessed us with Fr David, our Parish Priest and Spiritual Father.
