Biography:

His Holiness Pope Shenouda III delegated Fr. Mina Kamel Yanni, who was ordained priest on May 24, 1963 and who was serving in St. Mary’s church in Omraneya, Giza, to serve in the United States of America. Fr. Mina arrived in New York on September 14, 1972, and started serving in St. Mary and St. Antonius’ church in Queens, while negotiations were ongoing to purchase a new church located in Brooklyn. The celebration of the opening of the church occurred on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 1972, with a night of prayer, in celebration of the New Year. Since then Fr. Mina has been shepherding his people with purity, loyalty and in the fear of God. Through his hard work and service and through the grace of God the church has grown and its member have greatly increased.
