Biography:

Mr. Sameh Boulos, a Rutgers graduate with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, was chosen to be ordained a priest to serve Archangel Michael & St. Mena Coptic Othodox Church in Staten Island, NY. Sameh and his family traveled to St. Mark's Cathedral in Cairo, Egypt, and on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 His Holiness Pope Shenouda III performed the Sacrament of ordination of the apostolic tradition. His Holiness named him Fr. Samuel, and designated him to serve the altar of the Lord at the Church of Archangel Michael and St. Mena in Staten Island, NY. Fr. Samuel bears the name of two great saints in our Church. The first is Samuel the Prophet, who was chosen to serve the Lord as the anointter of kings. And the second is St. Samuel the Confessor, who lost his right eye in defense of the apostolic Orthodox faith against the Council of Chalcedon heresy which claimed the Lord Jesus Christ had two separate natures. May the prayers of these two saints support Fr. Samuel Boulos in his service.
